Gary
Benedict is President of The Christian and Missionary Alliance
(C&MA). I
am committed to The Christian and Missionary Alliance today because
of our rich heritage, our theology of Jesus only, our emphasis on
the deeper life, and missions. I am blessed by what God has done to
impact the world through our movement and challenged by our mission
to complete the Great Commission and bring back the King. The Rekindle
the Flame Gathering is a time to experience a fresh encounter
with God to prepare us for effective life and ministry, and reflect
on the rich tradition in which we serve."
"God has met me
at the previous Gatherings, and I have been renewed in my
spirit and my passion for Jesus and His Word and work. This experience
is one that I would like more of our Alliance family to experience.
When the invitation came to hold this gathering in a different place,
I asked to have it in Colorado Springs. Rekindle the Flame
reflects our core values, and I encourage every layperson and official
worker to join us in Colorado Springs in November, 2008. Be prepared
to allow
God to speak to your heart and empower your life."
